Yeah, you are right. Ashcroft and Gonzales are right in the middle of it, of course. This administration is rotten, right to the very core. It makes me sick and ashamed.

Sounds like CIA contacted Justice (Ashcroft-Justice, that's a laugh)to demand an investigation. Justice doesn't tell White House Counsel (Gonzales) - officially, for 2 days. Of course it is already in the news. Gonzales, by permission of Ashcroft, doesn't tell the White House to secure the documents until 12 hours later. Of course Gonzales calls Card immediately.

I wonder if Fitzgerald has records of the phone calls or has confiscated the hard drives of any of the computers?

Lord, a lot is riding on this guy. I hope he is up to the job.
