This is George Bush’s accountability moment. That’s why I’m here. The mainstream media aren’t holding him accountable. Neither is Congress. So I’m not leaving Crawford until he’s held accountable. - Cindy Sheehan

There are things worth fighting for. And there are even some worth dying for. But Iraq is not one of them. - James Moore

Lovely and perceptive quote from Rabbi Arthur Waskow of the Shalom Center

quote from a letter about Cindy Sheehan via

"The war kills the innocent, steals food from the poor, steals schools and health-care from the middle class, benefits terrorists, rewards corrupt corporations, and is used as a political bulwark by people who demean or hate homosexuality and deny the moral validity of women's choices."

Shalom, Arthur

Talk about hitting the nail on the head!

The Rabbi nailed that to the wall. To bad he didn't nail that bastard Bush there, too.

I tip my hat to the Rabbi.

He managed to articulate so many of the sins that make up that oldest of evils that continues to plague humankind. We have evolved such a distance from our earliest ancestors, but we don't seem to be able to evolve past that most primitive and destructive of acts.
