This is George Bush’s accountability moment. That’s why I’m here. The mainstream media aren’t holding him accountable. Neither is Congress. So I’m not leaving Crawford until he’s held accountable. - Cindy Sheehan

U.S. Struggling to Get Soldiers Improved Armor

This is shameful and criminal. For Christ's sake, the Pentagon is planning a freaking propaganda march and concert while our troops STILL do not have adequate body armor. They are spending precious tax dollars and human resources to prop up a failed administration while our soldiers are being maimed and killed in their illegal war. Read this article and tell me that you don't want to march to Washington and drag Rumsfeld, Cheney and Bush out into the street and kick the living hell out of them.

'For the second time since the Iraq war began, the Pentagon is struggling to replace body armor that is failing to protect American troops from the most lethal attacks by insurgents.

The ceramic plates in vests worn by most personnel cannot withstand certain munitions the insurgents use. But more than a year after military officials initiated an effort to replace the armor with thicker, more resistant plates, tens of thousands of soldiers are still without the stronger protection because of a string of delays in the Pentagon's procurement system.'

We need to get our kids out of there, NOW.
