This is George Bush’s accountability moment. That’s why I’m here. The mainstream media aren’t holding him accountable. Neither is Congress. So I’m not leaving Crawford until he’s held accountable. - Cindy Sheehan

There are things worth fighting for. And there are even some worth dying for. But Iraq is not one of them. - James Moore

White Feather Campaign

George W. Bush, Poster Boy for Resolute Cowards Everywhere
From: Come and Take It. The Eyes of Texas Upon our Imploding Right Wing via Salon

'Apparently a small band of protestors camping out in the hot Texas heat led by a mother whose lost a beloved son in a dishonest, disgraceful war is about to constitute a threat to national security.

Face to face, he (Bush) can't maintain the cloak of denial, so I don't hold out much hope that he'll have the huevos to engage in a basic human interaction with his opponents. Bar's baby boy has grown up into a rank, arrogant coward of the first water who has earned the White Feather being handed to him so publicly on a hot stretch of asphalt in McLennan County.'

Do you know the history of the White Feather? It was considered a symbol of cowardice during WWI, given by women to men who would not enlist in the British army.

I do not consider anyone who opposes this illegal war in Iraq a coward, but those who support it by sending other people's children to fight are deserving of a White Feather, as are the Democratic members of Congress who see through the lies of this administration but will not confront them. Ditto for the Repubs, who know what Bush has done, but continue to blindly follow the dictates of their GOP masters.

I am going to mail a White Feather to each of my congressional representatives, who all happen to be Republicans, and to a few choice Democrats as well. I will try to find actual feathers, but a photocopy of the shot above would serve just as well. An emailed photo would work. Maybe something tangible will stir their souls - words don't seem to have had much effect. I will also mail one to that most cowardly of liars, George Bush.

Maybe he will contract Avian Flu.........wouldn't that be a shame?

Find someone who keeps birds as pets, after a while the feathers are almost as bothersome as cat hair.
