Via, I went to one too. At the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City. Not one news crew showed up but plenty of people stopped and joined us. I cried all the way home.

I'm glad you had an event in your city, at least. I was frankly surprised that we did......

We were a little more secluded, being in the park a good distance from the main streets, so we didn't have many people just stopping to participate. I hope that our next vigil, 9/24, will be located in more of a public area.
